Most people know their age in years. Almost nobody knows it in days. But the number of days you have lived is oddly specific and strangely grounding - it turns the abstract "I am 36" into something you can almost feel. Thirteen thousand days. Each one of them happened.

901 days between two dates
How long has it been since January 1, 2024? As of June 20, 2026, the answer is 2 years, 5 months, and 19 days - or 901 calendar days, or 128 weeks and 5 days.
The same question comes up constantly in daily life. How many days until a contract expires. How many weeks between two project milestones. How many months since you started a job. The math is straightforward but tedious: you need to account for months with 28, 29, 30, or 31 days, leap years, and the difference between "calendar months" and "30-day periods."
The Date Difference Calculator handles three modes. Difference mode gives you the full breakdown: years, months, weeks, days, and total calendar days. Add mode takes a date and jumps forward by a given number of days. Subtract mode jumps backward. There is also an optional hours-and-minutes toggle for sub-day precision - handy for calculating shift durations or elapsed time between timestamps.
The result appears as a visual grid of cards: years, months, weeks, days, and a highlighted "Total days" card. No ambiguity about which unit is which.
90 days from March 1 is not June 1
Here is a question that trips people up: what date is 90 days after March 1? The intuitive answer is "sometime in late May" - and the correct answer is May 30. Not June 1. March has 31 days, April has 30, so 31 + 30 + 29 = 90. May 30.
Now try it with months instead of days. Add 3 months to March 1 and you get June 1. Same starting point, roughly the same duration, different result. That is because "90 days" and "3 months" are not the same thing. Months vary from 28 to 31 days, and the calendar does not care about your expectations.

It handles edge cases properly: adding 1 month to January 31 gives February 28 (or 29 in a leap year), not an error. The result shows the full date with the day of the week, plus a breakdown of the gap in days, weeks, and approximate months.
