A new calculator just landed on LiczGrupa.pl EN: the Average Calculator. It handles four types of averages - arithmetic, weighted, geometric and harmonic - with full formula breakdown for every result.

What it does

Enter a list of numbers separated by commas, pick the type of average, click Calculate. You get the result, the count of elements, the sum, and the complete formula showing how the answer was derived.

No rounding surprises. No hidden steps. The formula field shows exactly what happened: which numbers were added, multiplied, or inverted.

Four types, four use cases

Arithmetic mean - the one everyone knows. Sum divided by count. Use it for grades, temperatures, survey scores, anything where all values carry equal weight.

Weighted average - when some values matter more than others. Final exam worth 40% vs homework worth 10%? Enter weights 4 and 1. The calculator normalizes them automatically - ratios are what count, not absolute values.

Geometric mean - for growth rates and multiplicative data. If your portfolio returned 10%, 20% and -5% over three years, the geometric mean gives the true annualized return. Arithmetic mean would overestimate it.

Harmonic mean - for rates and ratios. Classic example: you drive 60 km/h one way and 40 km/h back. The average speed is not 50 - it is 48 km/h (harmonic mean). The calculator handles this correctly.
